Bethlehem Councilman: Firehouse closure doesn't make sense

Bethlehem Councilman David DiGiacinto said he didn’t see why the city was looking to shutter one of its five firehouses if it isn’t going to save any money.
At council’s first 2012 budget hearing Thursday night, DiGiacinto said he didn’t think Mayor John Callahan’s proposal to close the Dewberry Avenue firehouse is a good idea.
