 PA Dems Chairman Jim Burn to Step Down from Allegheny Dems Chairmanship


Harrisburg, PA - Today, Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman Jim Burn announced he will step down from his Chairmanship of the Allegheny County Democratic Party effective January 2, 2012 to devote attention to his chairmanship of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party heading into the 2012 elections. Nancy Mills will finish the duration of Chairman Burn's term as Allegheny Chair.


 "In 2011, we elected a full slate of Democrats in Allegheny County including our incoming County Executive Rich Fitzgerald," said Jim Burn. "I am proud of our success in Allegheny County, and I look forward to building on our wins in 2012. With the 2012 election on the horizon, it is important for me to devote my attention to my duties as Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chair while leaving the Allegheny Party in a good position for continued success. Nancy Mills is a strong leader who will continue to work with Democrats in the community to build on our success."
